For the past few weeks, I’ve been regularly working late nights and coming home absolutely drained. This routine has really taken a toll on my mind and body, and is especially visible on my skin (hello, acne). Consequently, I’ve regrettably given in to more retail therapy, and I even invested in an adult coloring book for stress relief. I’m actually pretty excited about the coloring book, but (unsurprisingly) I haven’t found the time to sit down with it yet.
I would love nothing more than to take a vacation and get away from everyone for a little while, but that’s just not an option right now. Honestly, I would also be very happy simply hiding out at home and sleeping for a few days…
Anyway, here are a few articles to inspire you this week:
- Travel Guide: Three Days on the California Coast — This local road trip looks and sounds like an amazing adventure. I had no idea that Northern California has a private preserve for endangered animals. How cool is that?!
- 5 Inspiring Books to Fuel Your Wanderlust — Before reading this article, I had never heard of any of the works on this list. Unfortunately, knowing my track record with books, I probably won’t get through any of them.
- 50 Fun, Cheap Dates (That Aren’t Netflix) — This piece has so many creative ideas. And now I want to play Monopoly.
- How to Afford the Outdoor Lifestyle on a Budget — I’m not very outdoorsy and I’m definitely not considering dirtbagging, but this is a good read.
That’s all for now. I’ll be playing more catch up tomorrow, so keep an eye out!
