Thanks so much to the amazing Karen for featuring me on her blog! Check out my virtual interview on Confetti & Curves and be sure to follow her. She is one of the first blogs I connected with on WP and is most definitely one of my favorites still ❤
Hey Beauty Buddies…
To say I’m excited is a bit of an understatement. From 5pm this afternoon I have five glorious days booked off work to look forward too. Not that I’m planning on going anywhere special or doing anything remotely remarkable, but just having that stretch of free space makes me almost delirious with happiness. No 5am starts, no school run, no rushing around first thing in the morning trying to locate my phone charger or last minute hunt for Emma’s PE shoes. It’s such a rare thing having so much time to myself, but I could happily fill it with doing absolutely nothing other than recharging my batteries. How lovely is it to be able to plan each day after we surface in the morning? That in itself is a rare and special treat!
Talking of treats… I have our second blogger of the week joining us on the virtual sofa this…
First of all, I want to give a huge thank you to Beautify Brooke for nominating me for The Lovely Blogger Award. Please go and check out her blog! I absolutely love going through all of her makeup looks.
Each nominee must thank the person who nominated them (including a link to their blog).
They must list the rules in the post.
They must add 7 facts about themselves.
They must nominate 15 other bloggers and notify them that they have been nominated.
I am currently participating in Emma Watson’s book club on Goodreads: Our Shared Shelf.
I was born in September.
I really like K-pop, as I’m sure you’ve noticed from my music posts. My current favorite groups are BTS and B1A4.
I love all noodles. Italian, Filipino, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Japanese… I want all of them. If you know a good noodle recipe, leave it in the comments!
I’m looking forward to Spring, but I get pretty bad hay fever. #struggles
I’m Yelp Elite 2016.
There are many blogs that are deserving of this award, but I’m going to break the rules here and nominate 3 bloggers that have really stood out to me lately. For a list of my past award nominees, check out my awards page.
No brows or no foundation? No brows, since my brows are quite full and dark already.
Favourite Beauty Blogger or YouTuber? I follow so many great beauty bloggers on WordPress and Bloglovin’, but I actually don’t have a favorite.
Favourite thing about makeup? It makes me look more awake 🙂
If you had $1000 to spend on makeup, what would you buy first? The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit palette.
Which beauty brand is your all time favourite? For overall beauty, it’s tied between The Face Shop and Too Cool For School. I have tried so many amazing products from both brands.
How old were you when you started wearing makeup? I didn’t start wearing makeup regularly until my junior year of college, so when I was 19.
Who taught you to apply makeup? I’m self-taught, with the occasional help of online tutorials and magazines.
Would you rather spend money on makeup than clothes? Oh, I already do. I spend way more money on beauty products than on clothing and accessories.
Tell a story regarding a personal makeup experience. I went into my local Sephora for a smoky eye mini-makeover with the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette. The palette was great; the smoky eye was terrible. I ended up fixing it myself at home.
Where are you from and what is considered beautiful in your country? California, USA. Beauty standards are constantly changing here–actually, here’s a cool article about that.
Feel free to tag yourself like I did! If you do, let me know in the comments. I would love to read your responses!
